WORKERS’ COMPENSATION LITIGATION
REPRESENTATION OF INJURED WORKERS

Maximum Medical Improvement
During the life of the case, an injured worker
will reach maximum medical improvement (MMI).
Usually, this is an opinion rendered by the
authorized treating physician. It signifies that
point in the injured worker’s medical treatment
where further recovery can no longer be reasonably
anticipated. Once an individual reaches maximum
medical improvement, their entitlement to ongoing
benefits may be reclassified or suspended. Moreover,
the provision of further medical treatment may be
affected.
Mr. Fee and Mr. Chait are very cognizant of the
MMI date for their clients’ cases. Often times,
consultations are provided to properly address this
issue so that their clients properly understand
their rights and make informed decisions regarding
their legal remedies and options.
